I think I now Understand why France football refused to give the Balon Dor out this year which is rightly so.Many players and teams really changed after the break which could be due to mental stress ,lack of training and all the hassle the pandemic brought.

Real Sociedad and Getafe before the break Wey two of the most entertaining teams in Spain and everyone hoped to see them in Europe whiles Granada lost their spark in the middle of the season. After the break both teams performed so badly that it effected Getafe , meanwhile

Granada did perform well thus replacing Getafe for that Europa spot.

Lazio and the race for the scudeto , we all agreed before Covid that LaZio was gonna given Juve headache for the title and we were right because they played really well and their star man Immobile was on fire too , what’s been case after Covid ?

You could Martin Odegaard was undoubtedly the third best player in La liga after Messi and Kroos but after the break , the lad couldn’t even start most benches.

Ilicic is also a prime example and one of my two favorite players alongside Duvan in Serie A this season. Ilicic was literally and Undoubtedly Serie A’s best player before the break , remember that four goals against Valencia ? Yeah him. Even he hasn’t been sharp after the break.

Ronaldo and Immobile , immobile was about 7 or more goals ahead of Ronaldo before Covid because he was on fire together with his team. Juve was as well but not Ronaldo. After the break what’s happened? Ronaldo’s been on fire, juve hasn’t and both Immobile and LaZio haven’t too.

So I personally think France Football is really right to not award anybody or team. Corona Virus really took a toll on everyone , some were affected mentally and it somehow showed in their form since the written. It’s only sad to see

It’s only sad to see the perfect opportunity for players like Lewandoski, Kevin De Bruyne and Lionel Messi ruined despite having an amazing season. Let’s hope to see them in their splendid form again next season.
