Our pandemic controls are working. Our jobs are recovering. Consumer spending is recovering. We have a lot to be thankful for here. Were there bumps in the road? Sure. LTC facilities were very badly handled. There were some changes required to programs to get them right.
We've done a good job overall, but we've got a lot left to do. We've got to manage the recovery. More spending will be needed. We've also got to plan on how to cut down on spending without collapsing the economy or our response.
Instead of helping with this, the CPC are off in their own world riling up anger & trying to score points. They say there's time for both. They can create ideas and point out flaws in others. Funny how they only seem to manage to point out flaws though, real or imagined.
Sadly, too, Mr. Singh has decided to join in this camp. He chooses to completely ignore the efforts we've gone to and the billions we've already spent. He claims LPC is just trying to help itself with all this spending.
Does anyone truly believe the govt spending was in self interest? Not to help Canadians through this? Not to try to avoid a deep recession? Just to help LPC and their friends?

Mr. Singh has also suggested Trump has handled things better....
When politicians of any stripe choose to resort to hyperbole it tells me they are desperate. Desperate to make gains. Desperate to get attention.

Desperation is not a quality I look for in a leader.
