#WestleaBlossomN I just had to share the amazing thinking and investigation/detective work by Bubble A last week... We discovered big holes in the bark chipping in our mud kitchen. The children tried to work out what could have made them... @canigoandplay @EYTagteam
Maybe a cat? But no ‘poo’ was found! A squirrel? But no nuts were found. Bubble A suggested a giant as they looked like giant footsteps! We wished we had a camera to secretly film our garden! #WestleaScience #WestleaEYFS
By complete coincidence Mr Ellison had filmed a different part of our school field the previous night and we were quick to see if anything had been captured! #WestleaForestSchools Look what was caught on camera!
The children looked at all the evidence and had already ruled out the cat and squirrel. The birds? Nope, no worms. Hedgehog? Nope too small. So it must be the fox! 🦊 They thought and remembered the story of the gingerbread man from before lockdown... 4 months previously!
Erm no they concluded. “Because he was looking for the gingerbread man to take him over the river and we don’t have a river in our nursery garden!” So “it must be the giant!” Please keep a lookout for any giants over the summer and let us know! #themagicofchildren #joy
