If you're in #GA, you likely already know several people within your close circle diagnosed w/ COVID b/c our numbers in general are so high. Even those taking strict precautions are getting sick. I know those ppl.

I'll turn 26 soon, which means I'll be getting kicked off my parent's health insurance.
As mentioned in the first tweet, I have chronic health issues. So not only am I running away from #COVID19 every day, my body is already fighting itself. This requires FREQUENT doc visits.

In preparation for not having insurance, I moved up all my doc appts and have been going a lot this month. My regular office closed (COVID related), so I have to go to a HOSPITAL to see my health team. So, even more exposure to COVID in order to try staying healthy & avoid COVID.
This could've been so different w/ simple enforcement of rules.
I know...freedom & stuff. There's beauty in being American & having rights. But we are too stubborn & now is not the time.
I guarantee you know someone #highrisk w/ #chronicillness. They just haven't disclosed it.

If you know someone still stuck at home to protect their weakened immune system, check on them. It has been 5+ months. Even introverts are tired of this.

Also, #depression & chronic illness often come hand-in-hand. You know what doesn't help depression? Being isolated for months on end.
Reach out to your people, even when you don't feel like it.

Don't trust anyone who says politics doesn't matter. It CLEARLY does, because those in power make crappy laws (or do nothing at all).
If we had better leadership, I'd be out hugging my friends right now instead of ranting on Twitter.
