Genuinely uncertain on this: a bridge joining the War Memorial Gardens with the Chapelizod Road.

I don't see what the bridge aims to connect, and worry it could dominate a nice, peaceful (and thus rare!) part of the urban Liffey.

But am open to being convinced.

Thoughts?

Context: DCC are being asked to amend the city's development plan. That requires a vote by councillors, but I'm uncertain how much this plan needs a development plan change.
