Okay so I wanna talk a lil bout chronic fatigue and how this impacts the ability to do things in the community! Now this isn't just 'im tired all the time' or 'i have bad sleeping habits' its an actual syndrome also known as ME ! So I want to kinda discuss what its like having it
So basically its a condition that can happen to anyone, but mostly occurs after youve been particularly sick such as certain fevers so COVID will indeed be an impact and put you as a potential person to developing this syndrome! Its mainly tiredness and generally feel unwell
It can be easily mistaken for other health conditions so please get checked first before assuming you have it! Basically I got given this as my symptoms match and I had clear blood and urine results so it is not caused by another condition!
How does it impact daily life? Well basically its like being tired and unwell every day of your life, and as if you are waiting to recover from something that isn't happening, but youre not actually got an illness either so you feel trapped and that you cant do much
Some people can have milder symptoms such as myself where I get increasingly tired and need constant naps and struggle to do exercise because I can actually faint from the exhaustion it brings onto me, and get migranes really easy and have to sit down a lot when walking around
but other people can end up in wheelchairs or use walking sticks because it becomes so hard to just keep yourself up and about. So it can get really intense and hard to live with on a daily basis, doing tasks can be so exhausting I feel I need to nap after ....well everything
this is not to be confused with narcolepsy! We don't just fall asleep, its tiredness and exhaustion and also stems to other symptoms such as sore throats, headaches, and difficulties to move!
So how does this impact on being part of a community like the youtaite one? Well we have tight deadlines a lot for collabs, particularly cbs, we are expected to respond right away as forms of communication, but sometimes I physically cant, I go to do it then I end up tired again
I try to get as much as I can get done while I still have the energy as I know it won't last and some days can be no gos, which for things like cbs every day is essential, this isnt an ideal condition to have. It can make me feel really guilty even though I cannot control it
I wanted to raise this lil conversation due to feeling suddenly tired rn and I just thought bout this pandemic and how people may also develop this syndrome if they get the aftermath of COVID and how this could potentially impact how people could work in collabs and cbs here!
so please keep safe everyone during these times as some restrcitions in certain countries get lifted, as there will be a rise in people like me and there may be others in the commu who have it too as while illnesses are the most common way to get it, other ways are possible!
its also just lil psa to be kind to people you work with in cbs, do the best you can to communicate but be understanding if people cant work everyday! you dont know whats going on for someone! I never speak much on my ME coz I fear people will see it as an excuse or being lazy
So yeah just overall there will unfortunately be a rise of people who get this condition due to the pandemic so yeah lets just be kind to each other and have fun in the community and remember to be kind to others <3 thats the end of my lil ramble LOL
