Let’s get things perfectly clear on UCP’s ideological push to privatize public goods and services, to contract out. It’s NOT to save money. #abpoli #ableg It’s to accomplish this:

1. Break unions, erode worker rights, push wages down.
2.Shield themselves from accountability and FOIPP access requests. As soon as services are privatized, media or public cannot access info on service degradation, escalating costs, disputes, etc.
3. Reward their donors.

It almost ALWAYS costs more to outsource but the public never gets access to that information because it can negatively affect the competitiveness of the outsourcer. If they perform terribly, FOIPP prevents the gov from disclosing this. I’ve spent years in outsourcing contracts.
