Seeing a lot of people mad at the inequity of rich ppl buying tutors for their kids until schools reopen.

Wait until you hear what they were doing *before* the pandemic.
Man, back then, these guys would buy access to whole *schools*! Often via housing purchases that they could eventually get back!
And the summer camps! And the gap years! And the specialized afterschool enrichment extracurriculars! And the at-home tech access! And! And! And!
Look, it *is* frustrating that the rich can just buy their way around some of the consequences that COVID is imposing on most of our schools and kids.

But it's not new. Not even a little bit. It's just an enhancement of the pre-pandemic opportunity gaps.
And if you're mad now, but weren't mad then...ask yourself: is that because you make enough that you were able to play some of those pre-pandemic privilege games? You bought a house for the good schools? You paid for the piano lessons, etc? ...
... But now, a tutor's a bridge too far, and you're suddenly ticked off?

smh
Basically: feel free to get mad at the inequities that also benefit your advanted kids also, ok?
*advantaged. Groan
