I agree with vast swathes of this thread and think that there are some real truthbombs but I have to say that the tone of it throughout is just not the one. It’s so victim blamey in places. https://twitter.com/nulfiicos/status/1284524655106068480
Totally agree with the sentiment of your friend can never be your therapist because they’re ultimately bringing you down.

But I hate this tweet so much: https://twitter.com/nulfiicos/status/1284527015471661056?s=21 https://twitter.com/nulfiicos/status/1284527015471661056
Not so much the idea of stepping away from it because of your own safety, that’s a good sentiment.

What I hate about it is the idea that you ignore your friends whilst they’re down. Why are you even friends with that person then? Tell them you’re not in the headspace to help
Sure, you don’t owe anyone a reply, but if you ignore your friend whilst they’re spiralling out of control? You’re not their friend. You’re a prick.

Be open, tell them you’re not in the headspace to help them or have them vent to you. Tell them to seek help. Don’t ignore them.
https://twitter.com/nulfiicos/status/1284528080770396160?s=21 It would appear that there is a moment of self realisation.

One minute; ignoring your friend is purposeful and you don’t owe them a reply.

Then you say that you should tell them to seek help and make sure they’re in the right headspace

So which is it? https://twitter.com/nulfiicos/status/1284528080770396160
Following on from this thread: I just would really like you all to know that you’re never ever alone. If you’re not okay? Talk to someone. If they’re not in the right headspace. That’s fine. But talk to someone who is.

My DM’s are open lads, I’ll never turn any of you away ❤️
