why is lin manuel miranda problematic and why you shouldn’t support him; a thread

- i’m doing this thread bc i’ve seen a lot of people in my tl surprised with how “the lip bite dude said the nword” and i want u to know that he has done more terrible stuff than this and i love educating my ppl

quick read through his resume: lin manuel wrote the musical hamilton, that is currently the most hyped show on broadway and basically he got famous because of it. he also was the co-writor of moana soundtrack and he’s helping to write the songs from the little mermaid live action

he has other bway musical named in the heights and its movie will be released next year he also was special guest to some tv series like b99, himym and odaat. and he’s the main male character in disney’s mary poppins returns

recently disney+ released the hamilton proshot in its plataform and that’s the main reason the lip pic blew up. it begun with theater kids making fun of him, now it’s everywhere (unfortunately)

what many of u don’t know is that lin manuel did like a lot of shit since he got famous and he doesn’t care abt fixing it cause there’s a lot of ppl defending him so whatsoever. but im here to educate u so let’s expose him

lmm said the nword a couple of times and never apologized for it. in those videos he’s doing the audiobook of someone else work, but this doesn’t make it any better, they should’ve censored it! it isn’t that hard isn’t it?

other thing that is not that relevant is that he kept saying that the hamilfilm is with the entire obc but it’s not, some ensemble members had already left the show when it was recorded.

obviously not many people care abt this as much as the other things but it makes me feels like he doesn’t care that much abt the ensemble or he’s doing this for the hype. he could have said “original main cast” u know? it’s just another reason to hate him

having this in mind remember that lin manuel miranda is a 40 years old man whos conscious abt his acts but still pretends nothing ever happened and hopes everyone forgets it somehow
