//*GO-QuestVR Halo Strap Thread*//

Since the Halo Strap for my #OculusQuest got delivered today I thought I'd give my personal impressions and experience on here. Will update this in the upcoming days.
fyi: I bought it so this isn't sponsored.

If you are interested in the.. 1/

Quick preface: I started my VR journey with the Rift CV1 and always loved the headstrap.
The PSVR Halo strap wasn't as comfortable for me (good, but it just didn't fit me as well as the CV1) and I thought I'd prefer headstraps over Halo design in general.

When I got my.... 3/
...Rift S I changed my mind. It was instantly more comfortable than the PSVR and I could play for hours without discomfort.
That's why I thought I'd give the GO-QuestVR Strap a shot.

This is highly subjective and only MY OWN experience since every head is shaped differently. 4/
some pinpoints:
- I ordered the Oculus Quest Halo strap V3 PRO on July 15th, order was shipped a few hours later
- I opted for DHL express delievery which was 20$ (standard shipping is 10$) and it was delieverd today (July 20th)
- The Halo Strap without Headphones is 48$, ....5/
...I bought them for an additional 10$ (more on this later)

- In total I payed 78 US $

First impressions:

Build Quality overall is very good. The parts that are 3D printed are "okay" (you won't notice minor optical quality issues if you don't look for it; mechanically.... 6/
...they work and the Strap is well worth the price for sure)

Here is a picture of what you get:

.....7/
And here is my current Quest setup. I "modded" it with:

- a VR Cover PU Leather (Slim)
- an additional headstrap (8€ on Amazon)
- the Bionik Mantis Headphones

I'll compare the Halo Strap to this setup from now on....8/
Disassembly of the original Strap and assembly of the Halo Strap was pretty easy (printed manual is included), there are some helpful videos though like this one:

Took me about 10 min.

here are pics of it w and w/o the headphones
9/
first impressions (30 min use):

- front heaviness and pressure on face/cheeks are gone
- pressure on forehead is almost not noticable (even without the use of the upper headstrap)
- back and front foams are very comfortable.

more updates later this week, feel free 2 AMA ..10/
