this this this!!
(i mentioned this in my & #39;tales from the trunk& #39; episode!)
the more you write, the quicker you can spot these & #39;i like it but nope& #39; ideas -- so now i can trunk stuff with a quickness instead of being at like 60k and going & #39;hmmmMMMmmm& #39; https://twitter.com/Bibliogato/status/1285255340968357890">https://twitter.com/Bibliogat...

i know i talk a lot about how writing is a long weird process of calibration against various things (your past writing, writing you like, writing you dislike, etc)
so it is a nice feeling when you& #39;re eventually at a spot where you can save time by going & #39;HEY NO& #39; early on

i used to have a lot more trouble picking what i wanted to work on next in terms of long-form stuff
now i can kind of look at the outlines i& #39;ve done, even the ideas, and be like & #39;yes, you& #39;ll work& #39; or & #39;nope, not you& #39; or & #39;yes, but you& #39;ll take five years& #39; etc

but don& #39;t get me started on choosing short fiction because i have like 1300 workable ideas/outlines for stories right now and it is
