I really get annoyed when y’all offer up all these reasons why one should “boycott amazon” with no real alternatives, especially for those of us who have health issues and use Amazon as a way to access what would otherwise be *too* costly and take *TOO* long to arrive.
I have been using amazon considerably less after reading many valid critiques.

I also two skin conditions. One of them causes me to break out in hives every 2-3 days. Religiously. It has happened since I was a junior in high school.
The toner I use: made in Korea. I’ve tried to purchase from their website. it’s about $10/more I believe than purchasing through Amazon. Also takes *much* longer to arrive. Tried to buy, it anyway. They emailed me the next day saying they’re not shipping to America re: Covid.
So how am I to move forward? 🤣
My facial moisturizer? Cheaper on amazon.

My face soap: can’t even be purchased through the manufacturer’s website. Where do they direct you??? AMAZON and other retailers. Other retailers? $3-$15 more expensive per bottle than Amazon.
It’s much bigger than “boycott Amazon.”

Really, what you’re saying is “boycott Amazon if you have more money to shovel out on just about *everything* you use it for *and* have the time to wait *and* no extenuating circumstances that might require immediate need.”
I don’t want to line Jeff Bezos pockets any more. Truly, I do not. And this is not to defend Amazon.

This is to say that critiques that don’t take into account how much of a stronghold it has on *everything* will always fall flat on my ears.
And ALL of the companies that are offered as alternatives are just as terrible as Amazon??? Walmart? Target? Come on....

And the one that aren’t “as bad” (??) are MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE?

Have you tried to buy *good* skincare from a Walgreens or CVS or Rite Aid??? PLEASE
And it’s also not one of those things where it’s like “well, just try something new.”

Beloved? Have you ever put the *wrong* product on inflamed skin? It could get that much worse and you MIGHT have to go to the hospital!
