About six months before my dad died, he knew he was going to die, and was getting all reflective.

He apologised for not having organised more trips and events for us to do, and was afraid our childhood was boring (it wasn’t, far from it)
I told him I was rather thankful we didn’t do organised sports like the other kids in the village. I had plenty of time to read and he bought me a Commodore 64 so a lot of my time was spent waiting for the games to load (lol)
Anyway there’s no point to this #thread. I’m just aware he was affected as we all our by other people’s seemingly action packed perfect lives being advertised to us constantly online.
