About Loot (A.S)(also written as Lut) and his nation, the TWO reasons his nations was punished for. And dispelling some misinformation.

I was instigated to write this after reading a girls tweet here (which she has now deleted) supporting LBGT citing some American Muslim 'scholar' that people of Loot were punished for forceful homosexuality and not consensual.

That they were heterosexual people in normal lives but they tried to rape prophet Loot's guests who were angels in disguise of beautiful men, thus triggering Allah's anger. The purpose of this thread is to disprove this theory.

I will give exact verses from Quran (not some interpretations) so you can cross reference them yourselves. But first, let me say this, that twisting Quran and its words is not a new thing. People have always tired to do this to suit their own purposes and desires.

They try to misguide/target those Muslims who themselves have never dared to study their own religion and/or those who are too impressed by non-muslim (western) ideologies rather than ideologies that their own religion puts forward.

The same thing actually happened to bible but unlike Bible, Quran's wordings have been preserved (you can read about preservance process of Quran by simple Google search) so the only way they could enter is through interpretations and twisting the verses.

Let me say this, "QURAN DOESN'T NEED INTERPRETATIONS OR ANY HELP TO EXPLAIN, IT'S SELF EXPLANATORY".
But you would only know that if you ever tried to read and understand it.

Second is that, it's completely illogical that a concept that was taught by Quran and supported by sahih hadiths from Prophet Muhammad PBUH, that has remained unchanged for 1400 years with no one supporting its opposite, is now being challenged by some pseudo Muslim scholar....

...Whose affiliations we don't even know, and people chose to believe him rather than their own Quran. Are you saying that this man knows more than Allah, his Prophet and for all 1400 years Muslims just 'misunderstood' Quran and his(that scholar)interpretation should be accepted?

You can not pick two sides. Either pick Islam and adopt its ideologies/beliefs or pick some other ideology and live with it, but remember that in hereafter your place will be with people of those beliefs and ideologies.

Now to the verses/referencing from Quran. You will clearly see that, people of Loot were engaging in 'consensual' homosexual relationships AND rape.

Read them and tell me where does it say 'forceful', rather it clearly implies consensual. This was one thing that nation of Loot was punshied for.

The second this nation of Loot (and many other nations) was punished for that they rejected Allah's prophet and refused to believe him. That is, they committed shirk. (either by not believing in Allah at all or by believing in any other God but Him).

In the end, I want to say to whoever has reached this point is that, PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF ALLAH, STOP BELIEVING IN EVERY NON ISLAMIC IDEOLOGY THROWN AT YOU BY ANYONE. STUDY YOUR OWN RELIGION AND DON'T BECOME SO LIBERAL THAT IT TAKES YOU TO HELL. PICK A SIDE.
