The @RoyalAirForce has been operating @P8A_PoseidonRAF in and around UK waters for the first time this year.

Poseidon primarily hunts for potential threats beneath the waves using its world-class sensors.

This is known as Anti-Submarine Warfare.

These photos are from a training mission. Crews are being put through their paces by the 54 Squadron Operational Conversion Unit.

Weapons Systems Operators & Officers are being shown how to manipulate the 5th generation sensor suite onboard the P-8A.
