So now that the chapter is out, I can talk more freely about it. I’ve seen a lot of people freak out over this panel. It foreshadows way more Boruto’s fate than Sasuke’s, in my opinion.

People seem to crop or miss the most important part of this conversation. The point is not Sasuke telling us, he and Naruto are ready to die for Konoha (which is obvious, let’s be honest, nothing surprising here) but asking Boruto if he would do the same.

The manga don’t let Boruto answer this chapter because his answer will be shown later.

In the future (close or far), we should get Boruto’s answer to Sasuke’s question with Boruto probably sacrificing himself for the village.

He obviously won’t die but self-sacrifice should be part of his story. His character is going to get some nice developement soon.

So calm down, this part of the new chapter is not a proof of Sasuke or Naruto dying. It’s a lesson, and a foreshadowing of future character development rather than death.
