For some of us, when the temperature rises we& #39;re in vacation mode. But for many people in our city living in poverty, dealing with the heat and humidity can be stressful. Here& #39;s a list of some things you can do to help people living in poverty during a heatwave:
- offer bottled water to anyone in need - don& #39;t worry about the plastic bottles, chances are someone will recycle it and get the refund! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🚰" title="Trinkwasser Symbol" aria-label="Emoji: Trinkwasser Symbol">
- If you have a business with air conditioning, offer to let people come in and sit down to cool off. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🆒" title="Quadratisches COOL Symbol" aria-label="Emoji: Quadratisches COOL Symbol">
- donate sunscreen and hats to shelters or neighbourhood centres for people in need. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🧱" title="Kappe" aria-label="Emoji: Kappe">
- have an extra fan kicking around? Consider giving it to someone who needs it - apartments on higher floors can get quite hot! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="đŸ„”" title="Hot face" aria-label="Emoji: Hot face">
- check on your neighbours, especially if they have health conditions that could be worsened by the heat.

Thanks for doing your part to help keep people more comfortable when it& #39;s hot out! https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="☀" title="Sonne mit Strahlen" aria-label="Emoji: Sonne mit Strahlen">
