For some of us, when the temperature rises we're in vacation mode. But for many people in our city living in poverty, dealing with the heat and humidity can be stressful. Here's a list of some things you can do to help people living in poverty during a heatwave:
- offer bottled water to anyone in need - don't worry about the plastic bottles, chances are someone will recycle it and get the refund! 🚰
- If you have a business with air conditioning, offer to let people come in and sit down to cool off. 🆒
- donate sunscreen and hats to shelters or neighbourhood centres for people in need. 🧱
- have an extra fan kicking around? Consider giving it to someone who needs it - apartments on higher floors can get quite hot! đŸ„”
- check on your neighbours, especially if they have health conditions that could be worsened by the heat.

Thanks for doing your part to help keep people more comfortable when it's hot out! ☀
