I wanted to clarify. This tweet is about consent. If someone didn& #39;t give you consent to tell them your issues, it& #39;s not fair to expect them to listen to you. You don& #39;t know what THEY are dealing with and they might not be prepared. If someone WANTS to offer empathy, then go ahead
This is why I push mental health first aid. To protect those who come to us as well as ourselves from harmful attempts to help. Our system is broken, that& #39;s why people come to us when they& #39;re unwell. It& #39;s important to know next steps and how to be safe for both parties.
