The Astros aren't above scrutiny. Look, they messed up and no one has a problem with the booing or criticism. However, it's obvious that ESPN and Major League Baseball have hung the Astros out to dry while they cover for other teams.

The Red Sox did the same thing the Astros did and everyone seems cool with the excuse the Red Sox gave. "It was some lowly video guy." Are you kidding me?

The Yankees, although they haven't won shit, are being protected by Rob Manfred...the league went to court to protect the Yankees from the same shit they tagged the Astros with. No one has issue with that?

The Cardinals cheated so badly that a man went to federal f-you-in-the-a prison. FOR FOUR YEARS. Where were the earnest think-pieces from ESPN calling for fans to boo then?

I get the Astros deserve a lot of shit. They were wrong for what they did. But they're low hanging fruit, shitting on the Astros is more convenient and much more safe than to shit on the Red Sox or Yankees or even the Cardinals. That's why they're doing it. That's horseshit.
