My Early GW38 FH Thoughts

We are still a while away from the end of GW37 but those of us using the FH chip in 38 will no doubt be tinkering through the GW..

Here's my early thinking

Shield Picks

Shield picks might benefit those managers who are aiming to hold rank or hold their position at the top of their mini leagues..

Here's my 5 favourite shield picks..

De Bruyne

TSB: 50.0%
Price: £10.7
GW38: NOR (h)

It's hard to predict if he starts or not in 38 but if he does he could run riot against Norwich! Owned by half of the game, KDB isn't fun to own unless the armband is on him! He's the ultimate shield option!

Verdict:

Salah

TSB: 33.7%
Price: 12.5
GW38: NEW (a)

Well owned and still fighting for the golden boot award. A depleted Newcastle defence could feel the wrath of Salah in GW38. If you are shielding then you should probably include Salah in your FH team!

Verdict:

Alexander-Arnold

TSB: 39.2%
Price: £7.7
GW38: NEW (a)

A disappointing few weeks for TAA owners but still owned by 39.2%! Could easily bring home a haul if Liverpool keep a clean sheet..offers goals, assists and bonus points in abundance.

Verdict:

Bruno Fernandes

TSB: 30.2%

GW38: LEI (a)

Looked a little off his game last couple of weeks, maybe feeling the effects of playing almost every minute since the restart. But he's still well owned and able to haul..could hurt any non owners!

He's a man in form and very well owned. I'm sure Ings will be looking for one last hurrah at home to Sheffield United in the final GW of the season. Well priced, he should be a no brainer for any Free Hitters in 38!

Differentials

Filling your team with differentials on the other hand benefit those managers who are looking for one last Hail Mary. If you have nothing to lose then it could be worth going for something different..

Sure his ownership will be higher than 6.8% come kick off on Sunday. One final time to see David Silva in your FPL starting lineup. Been on free kicks recently. One last haul for Silva against Norwich?

Antonio

TSB: 4.1%
Price: £7.1
GW38: AVL (h)

He can't stop scoring and he goes up against a struggling Villa team in GW38. AVL will be fighting for their lives Im sure but WHU are playing well, Antonio is spearheading their attack! Still so lowly owned!

Tierney

TSB: 1.0%
Price: £5.3
GW38: WAT (h)

Been impressed with Tierney recently. Loves to get forward so assists are a possibility! I fancy Arsenal to do a job on Watford, Tierney is the best asset of you are targeting Arsenal defence (other than GK Martinez)

Aubamayang is owned by 22% of managers and that ownership is likely to increase as the week rolls on. Laca could be a cracking differential against a pitiful Watford defence..

It's the last GW of the season, are we going to see another final GW Harry Kane masterclass? 4x goals in the last two matches, he's back in form! Palace away feels too good to turn down!

My Current GW38 FH

Currently top of my cash mini league so playing it fairly safe at the moment, relying on some 'shield' picks.

Should GW37 knock me off top spot then I might be looking to make gains with more differentials!
