I'll just dump how i imagine the tgcf little red riding hood au here:

~xl is little red riding hood (obviously) but maybe w a white hood, it fits better
~hc is the "wolf" but i'm turning that into a fox cus again, it fits better
~the forest in which hc lives is very dangerous, bc like demons and evil beings reside in there (aka hc)

~hua cheng is smt like a fox demon, he can change forms like in canon which are: a full on fox; human form (san lang) and his normal state: hua cheng but with fluffy fox ears and tail
~xie lian is something like a delivery boy, bc the forest is very dangerous for normal ppl-

So there are ppl who deliver packages or messages when the recipient lives somewhere where the sender would have to go through the forest
~ling wen gets all the messages and packages and sends xl off to deliver them
~feng xin and mu qing are hunters, (self explanatory but:

hunters protect the common ppl and kill dangerous beings in the forest)
~xl used to be a hunter but has lost this position two times and now works as a delivery boy
~qr is also a forest bitch
~AND obviously hc doesn't eat xl lol, he meets him on the way and helps him w his stuff

~if sb would want to eat xl it'd be jun wu, end of thread
