@MSCB2020
After having been blown away by SACRAMENTVM's entry I was very saddened to see that it had exceed the 2:30 mark just like you judges must have been as well.
However I do not believe that bending the rules for just 1-2 entries is fair to all of the other groups. (1/?)
Everyone else went out of their way to find a song that could be cut before the 2:30 minute mark and so I find it very disrespectful to us, who have followed the rules, by letting the ones who didn't, get a free pass. (2/?)
What does "the part after the mark won't be judged" even mean? How are the groups going to actually be penalized? As far as I'm concerned, as someone who has been a cb judge in the past. Nothing amazing happens in those last 20 seconds so their scores wont change in the end (3/?)
So really nothing is going to happen to them for not following one of the most basic rules of your cb. As if I am not mistaken the whole premise of your cb was that it was a TV sized magical girl themed cb. (4/?)
It's extremely unfair to the groups who did go out of their way and do the natural thing of following the rules provided. So what? In the end it's ok to do whatever we want? Some groups just won't face consequences? This is extremely biased. (5/?)
Honestly I wouldn't have had a problem nor will I end up crying over this matter. But its the fact that you, the organizer/judges, felt the need to bend the rules in order to accomodate certain groups, who mind you, have some certain very popular youtaites in them. (6/?)
I don't believe the original rule was a mistake on your website either, as I am sorry but something as important as rules for a cb should, and are always proof read and agreed upon by multiple people before being sent out to all of the contestants. (7/?)
In the end I do think that these groups need to be judged, just like ever other group. But please add a more consequential penalty for not being able to follow one of the main core rules of this cb. I do not think simply taking 1-2 points off is fair at all either. (8/8)
