Watford FC are once again the butt of the joke. And we deserve to be. If we stay up it will be a bloody miracle.

Care to take a trip down memory lane of this season with Lovey to look at some of our brilliant decisions?

THREAD
We start the season with our captain and leader playing all through pre-season and then deciding to take his optional knee operation just after gw2. He could have taken this any time through the summer but decided with Danny Welbeck signed and fit this would be the best moment...
Danny Welbeck got injured.

We were shocked
Our club record signing Ismaila Sarr cost us £30 and had been tracked by lots of clubs so we were excited to see this young talent play after he had done so well in the Europa leauge last season.

He spent the majority of the start of the season on the bench. Why?
Oh that's right he had an injury! I remember. Even though he was still playing alongside Mane for his national side...

🤷‍♂️

He finally gets some game time and oh wait! He's not bad? Huh.... who knew?

Not all the fans, all the players, and Sarr himself....
4 weeks in Javi Gracia was sacked. Granted a poor start to the season but just months before he had lead us to our first FA cup final in years! 4 gameweeks is very early. Let's sit and ponder who they may bring in for a while....

I hope the interview all possible candidates...
Quique Sanchez Flores appointed.

Here's the best bit...

The time between announcing the sacking and the new appointment was a whopping....

34 minutes.

Read into that what you will.

We liked Flores from his previous stint. But to sack Gracia in this way felt cold.
Flores continues to have a mare. We still don't see Sarr.

He was given a whopping 10 games. And then....

Sacked again. Granted we were bottom and he had only won one. But we are 4 months into a season as Hayden Mullins takes over as caretaker. He is manager no 3 of the season
Finally a decent decision by the Pozzo family. No more fancy continental managers but a proven relegation escape artist hired with experience of the Premier Leauge.

Pearson comes in. Starts playing the best players. I'm the best system that suits the players. It's not hard.
We go on a fantastic run with Pearson and Craig Shakespeare. The club seems like it's on its way out of trouble. Even thrashing the leauge leaders and current European and world champions.

All it took was playing the best players in the correct positions....
Some poor results after the restart but he picks up 7 points regardless beating Newcastle, Norwich and a point V Leicester.

And he is sacked.

2 games to go. These two have given us a fighting chance. Why?!
This is ludicrous. They both were on short term contracts into the end of the season. So they've been paid out to not manage these games.

But they won't get the stay up bonus if we do.

This is messy...

Rumours of an argument with Pozzo
Rumours of a fight with a player
So here we are back with Hayden Mullins against Man City and Arsenal hanging perilously close to the drop.

I'm getting people telling me we deserve to go down for this.

I dunno. I just hope we can hold on.
