I hope with the travel restrictions there's an understanding of how our African parents feel when their grandchildren are born abroad and they have no idea of when they will ever get to meet them given that they're at the mercy of a visa being granted.

During peak travel time it costs nearly €6k for flights only, you can't take children out of school. Add your living expenses and I don't know how much they think 'settled foreigners' earn. Then after that period, some employers deny you to take your full holiday entitlement
It's 24hrs each way, by the time you arrive you're ready to return. So,no we don't want to go to Spain because we're saving to see our families. Just have systems that don't punish families migrating.Our parents prefer their lives on the African continent, they won't overstay...
