I'm delighted you're enjoying the series. And I'm sorry if the reference to Taiwan offended you. I felt the sentence you referred to spoke more to the behavior of military men than anything else.

Any location where off-duty military visit could have been used, including San Diego, Seattle, etc. I used Taiwan rather subconsciously...due to chance comments from my husband, a military veteran.

My editor, who spent much of her life in Asia, stated the reference wasn't incorrect. But, again, almost every country, every city, every location in the world has red-light districts that cater to men looking for a good time.
