Different perspective on eating animals (short thread), inspired by a metaphysical book that I am currently reading.

Eating animals is part of the circle of life, regardless of what you read and have been told. It is completely natural.
The study of human nutrition confirms this as animals foods have all of the essential nutrients, and avoiding animal foods requires supplementation. This doesn’t mean that plant foods cannot enhance our diet, but animal foods are foundational.
The propaganda against meat and the rise of meat avoidance/plant-based gives way to a lot of guilt when it comes to eating animal products. Besides natural guilt, which is an innate emotion designed to facilitate acting with integrity, humans feel guilty for eating meat.
Beyond natural guilt, which is supposed to help you correct your actions and act with human decency, guilt is a negative emotion which can contribute to disease. There are other possible repercussions, but nowadays, way too many people feel guilty about eating meat.
Essentially, you are valuing another’s life more than yours, which devalues and disrespects your life and your body, which is also not a healthy belief system. Our belief systems affect our physical health.
There is a difference between killing when not necessary, and for food, which is part of life. You do not need to feel guilty about the nature of human creation.
