I was kind of waiting on some new releases to talk about this - but I guess now it's as good a time as ever to talk about why I won't be associated with GameChops going forward. Here's some context https://twitter.com/MateriaColl/status/1285002634374443008
For starters, I've worked historically with Chris and the team for a number of releases and have been thankful for project and performance opportunities that they've provided.

That being said, there have been multiple instances of a violation of trust on their end with my work.
Any attempts to communicate issues or criticisms have been routinely dismissed or silenced by both Chris and the general roster with regards to management of releases or distribution without my consent.

Evidently, it seems that this is the case for more than just myself.
There tends to be a gaslighting trend within the circle - reputation and narrative management has been pretty key. Oftentimes I've been afraid to be vocal about things because I've seen how allegations against GameChops members are often swept under the rug.
In this particular case there's a clear move by Chris to paint GameChops as the victim when caught changing the terms of sale of releases without consent of the label partner's/artist's consent.

Though an ongoing theme, anytime this has happened, complaints are quickly hushed.
There's more that can be said about my personal experiences with regard to being coerced or manipulated by members of GameChops, but for now I'm thankful that Materia is making a stand and advocating for proper ethics with regard to licensing and distribution.
