While she is the King and Protector of New Asgard, her primary position as Valkyrie is to choose who lives and dies in battle, and carry the souls of the dead to their final resting place.

Val has many abilities, but she prefers hand-to-hand combat or fighting with weapons.

She does not godmod. Most abilities are used to do her job & are only used in combat if absolutely necessary to protect her people from godmodding muses. +

Val, under the goddess Freya, protected the throne of Asgard alongside her Valkyrior sisters. The Valkyrie led a battle against Hela, the Goddess of Death by which all of her Valkyrior sisters were slain. Despondent, Val left Asgard and settled on the +

Planet Sakaar. There, she was known as Scrapper 142 where she captured contenders for The Grandmaster for his Contest of Champions. Asgard was in danger from Ragnarok and at the urging of Thor, she returned for the final battle for Asgard. Though Asgard was lost, they managed +

to save the Asgardian people and bring them to safety on Midgard. All of Nine Realms were in danger from the Titan Thanos, who with the 6 Infinity Stones and a snap of his finger, rendered half of all living creatures non-existent. Val would fight the biggest battle of her life +

alongside the Avengers and every mean of superhero to defeat Thanos and bring back "The Vanished" in an event simply known as "Endgame." After the victory, Val would return to Midgard where Thor made her King of New Asgard, giving her charge to protect the Asgardian people.
