Genuine question for my data vis friends:
What *is* the best way to color maps that will be recreated over time? With continuous data, the default color scale is based on min/max of the data on hand, how should the max be picked in a pandemic when we don& #39;t know what it may be?

The thing I can currently think of is to update the "max" color continuously but that is not trivial to program into an application that updates each day
