what dua lipa’s post really means: A THREAD.

dua lipa posted a picture of a flag of a “greater albania”, which shows all of the regions albanians ethnically originate from. others are claiming it promotes violence, stating dua wants these countries to unite into one, but that is not what the flag means. (Pt 1)

the flag simply calls for acknowledgement. dua is from kosovo. kosovo used to be a part of albania, but was taken over by serbia. serbia conducted a mass genocide of albanians in kosovo for years. kosovo finally gained independence, however serbia doesnt acknowledge it. (Pt 2)

Serbia still claims kosovo is serbia, but in reality kosovo is an albanian region that is now an independent country. the flag dua posted acknowledges that the region of kosovo (along w others) is ethnically albanian. no violence, no nazi ideas. (Pt 3)

dua is from kosovo. after a mass genocide, serbians continue to push the narrative that people from kosovo are not albanian. dua’s post shows that kosovo is indeed an ethnically albanian region. a simple google search proves it. she is not promoting violence or nazi ideals.
