If you’re interested in becoming a witch this is a thread for you

I was little when I was introduced to the Craft. My godmother is Wiccan and my own mother dabbled. Our family has a history of medicine healing as well. I’m a Scorpio. The Metaphysical, Paranormal and the Occult has been natural for me my whole life.

These are just disclaimers. I’m not an advanced witch. My family is Christian so it is very very very hard for me to practice. I have to practice in solitude and come up with other ways than your everyday rituals.

I would read books often when i was little. So I would say reading material is 100% what you need to do. Research the different types of witches, herbs, types of magicks, the history of witches, the basics, the ELEMENTS, Astrology, divination, color theory, etc.

If you can’t get your hand on physical copies, digital copies are fine. PDF Drive has good resources, as does Tumblr, Z-Library, etc. READ READ READ.

Knowledge is power. How can you learn anything if not by learning and understanding?

Another thing I would recommend is, first figure out why you want to get into witchcraft. How is it benefiting you? Is it calling to you? What aspects of it is calling to you?

Another thing is understanding that you do not have to be special to become a witch. Witchcraft is magick essentially yes. But we all have a witch in us. Male, female, old or young. Your power comes from within you.

I’m trying to go buy a tree for Luna but there’s so much to learning. I’ll add more resources & such when i get home including books and stuff I used when I first began. But learn what it is that intrigues you first !!!! That’s essential when learning what type of witch you are!

Okay I’m back. Soooo.. books? I have tons of them. It’s where I recommend starting with anything to do with the craft. You have to learn before you can start practicing. YouTube is also a really good resource. These are some of the books I have but not all

The rest of my collection is up in the attic. Again, I live in a Christian household. Trying to learn + practice magic is very very closeted for me. And that’s okay.
