I got my COVID test results this weekend, and I'm (+). This is a thread about asymptomatic/pre-symtomatic spread b/c that's what this is. First-I did not feel even a little bit sick when I got tested.
We were thinking of going camping overnight with another family. We were worried about kids being able to distance for so long so said all the adults needed a neg. test before the trip. Thank god I live in Detroit & could get tested. State fair grounds are a pub. health TRIUMPH.
My husband got tested the same day, he's (-) whew, but he might have had it in Feb (was really sick and pinkeye). My oldest kid (14) and parents got tested yesterday. We follow the rules. Only building I've been in outside the house is a grocery store. I always wear a mask.
We've seen a few people in our back yard but distanced. My parents take the pandemic seriously-not as vigilant as our family but they follow guidelines. The thing is, the kids go back and forth (and nowhere else). My oldest daughter had symptoms...
the last two weeks but too general to assume COVID. Me too. If I didn't know I was + I still wouldn't think I was, I would think I was really worn out (b/c I am). We assume this came from somebody who didn't know they were sick....
I'm isolating for the next 10 days and then I'll test again. We've called the few people we saw and gave the numbers to contract tracing too (another triumph). I share this b/c it was really not enough to be careful in my case-but I'm fine. Read my unemployment story tomorrow ;)
