I've come to the conclusion that the sole purpose of homework is to condition children into accepting that unpaid overtime and ridiculous hours and not even being able to escape work even in your own home are a normal things to expect in their future.

Why the FUCK is homework a thing.

If there's too much work to fit into kids' normal every day school hours, then there's too much work PERIOD. Kids should not be arriving home and then doing several more hours work.

No doubt, people who support homework also go on about how kids today watch too much TV or spend too much time on their phones and don't have 'proper' outdoor hobbies, like they've got two hours of homework tonight, Deborah, when are they supposed to find time to go on a hike?
