Don’t steal DNA and put in a database
Don’t store my name in a gang database because I live in public housing.
Address the continued disparities in marijuana arrest and summonses.
Stop using unnecessary force.
Officers should wear their mask.
Work with cure violence groups in more than just a superficial way.
Don’t cover your badge.
Turn your body camera on.
Don’t hide the body camera footage.
Don’t tase those who need mental health services.
Stop the NYPD work slowdown.
Treat sexual assault victims with respect.
Diversify the department from top to bottom.
Don’t just ticket communities of color for social distancing infractions.
Expand community affairs they know our community.
Get cops out of schools.
Stop the overtime abuse.
Fund gun backs.
Track bias complaints.
Work with the Civilian complain review board.
Require a city residency.
TREAT EVERYONE WITH COURTESY, PROFESSIONALISM, AND RESPECT NO MATTER THEIR ZIPCODE, RACE, COLOR, OR CREED.
Only cowards would run from their responsibility of creating a culture that actually builds trust with communities. Get off your soapbox and let’s all get to work!!
Time to reimagine policing in our city. Many things shouldn’t land on the NYPD’s doorstep, and we recognize that. Precisely why we need to invest in communities. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
