I’ve always wondered how most white people can tell all of these celebs apart yet somehow manage to confuse POC with each other, despite us looking nothing like the person they confuse/compare us with.

The number of times I’ve been told I look like Mindy Kaling... Why? Because we are both South Asian and curvy?

Yet you can distinguish differences between these folks and appreciate each for their individuality?

The fact that these people all have thriving, unique careers despite being actual doppelgängers (which is how it should be btw) yet POC in media, etc. can’t even coexist without being compared, tokenized and confused will never cease to amaze me.
