Antifa burned down the best and most innocent statue in Portland: Our statue of an elk. It is especially sad to me since I am an avid elk hunter and elk occupy a special place in my heart. They are truly a majestic, amazing animal that rightfully symbolize American conservation.

I saw and talked to the owner of the Malka Jewlery Store, which was broken into and looted last night. He was so disgusted with the hopeless leadership void in Portland and Oregon. I asked what he would do. He said, "Two choices, stay or leave."

Didnt seem like he'd stay.

The @sprint store had been broken into at some point in the last 50 days of protests. Broken glass was visible all over the store.

The door to City Hall has been boarded up. Also, a corner restaurant opportunity is available if anyone wants it.

And this is more or less what downtown has looked like for the bulk of the ~50 days of protest. It would be interesting to know the economic impact of all of this nd how many workers and small businesses have been impacted.

The sanctimonious self righteous words of Oregon @Democrats @tedwheeler, @OregonGovBrown, @SenJeffMerkley, @RonWyden, @repblumenauer and the Portland City council are just that: Words.

They want to score political points against @realDonaldTrump but abandon their constituents.

I hope this thread gives you an idea of why Trump had to step in to defend Portland and Oregon from the feckless elected officials who enable Portland's deterioration.
