2/ Be approachable.
Show your mentee that even though you are incredibly busy, you can and will make time for them. Even if your schedule is packed, there is room for them.

3/ Be communicative (both ways) & open.
In addition to clear goals/expectations, mentees want to hear your experiences & successes - as well as your challenges. They want to hear that your experiments didn't always work. Ask them what they think & want to achieve.

4/ Show your mentees you care and are invested in them and their future - this is more important than just telling them. Find concrete ways to express your support and encouragement.
