why 3RACHA debuting into the kpop industry may not be as benficial as you think; thread.
3RACHA as we know released their first mixtape in january 2017. this was before they were affiliated with any kpop group and they did so without having “jype” labeled to them. they still don’t have that label. +
if you go onto their soundcloud account you will see that there is nothing to do with jyp anywhere, they have their own gmail and all the music they make has always been their own, aside from sampling of course which a lot of soundcloud artists do. nothing wrong with it. +
the problem with 3RACHA debuting into the kpop industry means that they will risk their musical sound changing. 3RACHA have only ever made mixtapes under their own name, they have never made an album. +
to explain in short, a mixtape USUALLY contains some sampled sounds, which can be seen in their (deleted) songs such as “Bucket List” or “깨”. +
mixtapes don’t usually have structure. they are usually just a compilation of multiple songs from a few artists that put their tracks together. albums usually have a story to them and are under one artist. +
“but skz have a mixtape”, correct. they do. but to get rid of confusion, this was released before they had debuted. technically they were still trainees at that time meaning that they were all separate artists. +
if you look at 3RACHA’s song titles they almost ALWAYS state who produced the song in the song title. CB97, SPEARB or J ONE. consider them as separate artists because technically they are. they have some solos in their mixtapes as well furthering the “3RACHA make mixtapes, +
not albums” agenda.

what exactly will change if 3RACHA debut into the kpop industry? a lot. more than you think. if you listen to 3RACHA’s music it is obviously a lot more explicit than that of skz’s. do you remember what happened with easy? +
skz weren’t allowed to perform it because it was labeled as explicit. compare that to what 3RACHA makes and they’ll have to change the music they make completely. their music is what makes them, them. +
also in regards to profits, 3RACHA’s music isn’t tied to jyp. if it was then it’d be posted on an official jyp account somewhere, but no. they have their own youtube, soundcloud and instagram account. asking them to debut into the kpop industry is like asking them to change +
everything that makes 3RACHA them. if they debut under jyp then that means that jyp will be able to take some ownership over their music which isn’t right. 3RACHA will have to share their profits on songs THEY made themselves. +
the thing that makes 3RACHA so great as well is that there is no competition. it lets you focus more on their music rather than striving hard to get them wins and make them chart which is what i really like. their music is niche, putting them into the kpop industry will force +
them to change what they make music about.
