Silent (no communication with citizens)
Lawless (little communication with local officials)
Use-of-force protocols and scope of authority unknown

PS2/ Please understand what this means: heavily armed federal vigilantes who act under no clear authority, use force provocatively, and will not identify themselves are coming to your town within 120 days of a federal election and at a time when protests are a regular occurrence.

PS3/ I wouldn't be concerned like this—I value the rule of law—if these agents were a) identifiable, b) purely defensive (setting up tight perimeters around federal property), c) responsive to local officials (and articulating to citizens exactly what they're being arrested for).

PS4/ I understand there are many to the left of me politically alarmed about a much wider scope of law enforcement actions than I am. I'm an attorney, officer of the court, and sworn adherent to the Constitution who believes in rule of law... and is scared and nauseous over this.
