Idk if I‘d say it happened strategically, but the labeling of radfems as transphobic has worked out very well for men. In hopes of being progressive, many young women, all of whom would benefit from RF, refuse to read about the ideas of TERFs for fear of committing thought crimes

Instead, these young women embrace liberal feminism as the pinnacle of female empowerment and liberation. I was once one of those girls. Through liberal feminism, I learned to “love” kink and let my older boyfriend choke and slap me during sex despite the pain it caused me.

I look back now and think to myself, what the actual fuck was I thinking? I hated being hurt and would have to hide the bruises & marks he left on my body but would gossip about it with my female friends as if it was some sort of achievement.

My best female friend & I both went from ardent BDSM-friendly girls who would literally let men beat us to anti-porn/anti-kink radical feminists. I think we knew deep down that something was wrong all along, but everyone around us celebrated our degradation, so why question it?

My point in saying this is to remind us all that radfeminism is so much more than just trans issues - it can and does save young girls like me from participating in their own subjugation and abuse. It can save girls from doing porn & sex work on places like OnlyFans.

Young women & girls like me are not stupid. It’s the society that we live in that keeps progressive girls naive, ignorant of, and even fearful of true female liberation. I hadn’t even heard the words radical feminism until 8 months ago.
