ive been seeing more and more people claiming that jews control hollyood/the media. here's a shortened history on why this isn't true:

before the 1930's, Hollywood wasn't an established industry. movies were seen as petty entertainment for the lower class... (1/10)

during this early stage of hollyood - because it was deemed to be low class - minority groups were attracted to the industry. in fact, for this very reason, the American film industry as a whole was *built* by women, jews, and immigrants.

it wasn't until the 1930's that wall street decided to capitalize on the growing potential of the industry in Hollywood and it was more or less taken over. the directors became rich white christian men, as with the actors and producer. (3/10)

in fact, many movies that were made by these women, jews, and immigrants during the time were later falsely credited to men (i.e. Suspense by Louis Webber being credited to D. W. Griffith).

Certain individual people were able to maintain a foothold in the industry, but... (4/10)

Hollywood, as it continues to be today, was ultimately run by rich, white, Christian businessmen. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of Jewish directors out there. But directing is a creative position, not a business or administrative one. (5/10)

The truth is, most of the leading film corporations, the largest being Disney, were founded by racists and antisemites (LIKE WALT DISNEY). to think that America is run by anyone but the ultra rich, white, Christian businessmen is crazy. jews dont run Hollywood, or the world(6/10)

Now, where are black people in all of this? Unfortunately, general anti-black racism in America was and continue to be too strong for black people to gain a significant foothold in any industry. and when they did, it was always to entertain white people... (7/10)

i want to make it crystal clear that us jews were never oppressed in america nearly as much as black people. white jews like me are still white and still experience white privelige. America never allowed black people economic mobility, and have always had the disadvantage (8/10)

i just wanted to make that distinction because its not talked about enough. antisemetism in America does exist - ive experienced it and that's why I made this thread - but jewish *oppression* does not exist. (9/10)

Thats really it. Jews don't run Hollywood, the media, the country, or the world. Rich, white, Christian businessmen do.
