The Senate put together a panel to investigate allegations of corruption by the NDDC.

Minor correction please: Peter Nwaoboshi is not the one leading the panel. He is just on the panel as Chairman Senate committee on the Niger Delta.Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi is the one leading the Panel of investigation.

Like I've said in earlier tweets regarding this #NDDCProbe, this whole thing is much deeper than we can imagine.

I mean, this is an NDDC that said it was paying an annual rent of N300 million while River State govt came to counter it to say NDDC isn't paying any rent.

The Political fallouts from this probe will be far-reaching and I look forward to heads rolling.

I personally think a lot of this corrupt practices happened before Prof.Pondei took over.From today's hearing, we learnt only ONE contract has been awarded under him.

I also believe much of the internal and intergovernmental squabbles around NDDC is a pushback to some of the reforms Pondei wants to implement.

Again, I am very much glued to this story as it develops. We need more revelations, we need to know those robbing Niger Delta people.

As someone mentioned under this thread, this whole investigation will be useless if there are no serious consequences for those found guilty of acts of corruption.

When this is done, the acting MD should be given a free reign to implement reforms that'd transform the commission
