BEST PROMOTED #FPL ASSETS

I know fuck all about the Championship so did some digging to see who I’d consider for my FPL team next season and what price I reckon they will be.

This will focus on Leeds, WBA and Brentford, although none are guaranteed to go up atm.

A quick key for anyone who may not know some of the terms I’ll be using:

KP = key passes per game
Drb = dribbles per game
SPG = shots per game
G = goal
A = assist

Jack Harrison (LEE)

- Played every game in the league this season
- LW who can play a few different roles
- On loan from Man City but expected to sign permanently with Leeds
- 6G, 8A
- Averaged 2 KPs, 2 Drbs, and 1.7 SPG this season

£6.0m MID

Luke Ayling (LEE)

- Missed the start of the season but has been ever-present since
- A RB with strong attacking potential
- 4G, 5A, 0.8KP, 0.9Drb and 0.9 SPG
- Leeds have the best defence in the league this season, conceding 34 in 44.

£5.0m DEF

Other decent LEE assets

- Patrick Bamford, 16 goals this season, £6m FWD
- Pablo Hernandez, ex-Swansea, 8G 7A this season. At 35yo, he may have restricted minutes. £5.5m MID

Ollie Watkins (BRE)

- 25 goals this season, with 3 assists all in one game v Luton
- 2.8 SpG, 1.5 KP per game
- Was quite a sporadic scorer at the start of the season. Didn’t score in consecutive games until Jan 2020
- Championship top scorer

£6.5m FWD

Said Benrahma (BRE)

- 17G 9A this season from LW
- 3.9(!) SpG this season. For context, only Mo Salah (also 3.9) can match this in the Prem
- 2.1 KPpG. This would be joint-7th in the Prem alongside Digne and Moutinho
- 3 Drbs per game

£7m MID

Other decent Brentford assets

- Ethan Pinnock, 2G 4A this season from centre-back. £4.5m DEF
- Bryan Mbeumo, 15G 7A this season. Winger. £6m MID

Matheus Pereira (WBA)

- 8G, 20A in 40 games this season from RW (can also play CAM)
- On loan from Sporting but should become permanent
- 2.8KPpG, which would be 2nd in Prem behind KDB
- 2.6SpG and 1.4 Drb

£6.5m MID

Semi Ajayi (WBA)

- CB formerly on Arsenal’s books
- Scores a fair few goals. Netted 5 times this season for WBA and got 7 last season for Rotherham
- WBA have 3rd best defence in Champ behind Leeds & Brentford
- 0.6 SpG

£4.5m DEF

Other decent WBA picks

- Charlie Austin. Proven PL scorer with 10 goals this season. Rotation risk with Robson-Kanu. £5.5m FWD
- Jake Livermore. Not explosive but consistent. 3G 4A this season. £5m MID
