The 5th song on his top 5 is "Les mensonges d'un père à son fils" from Serge Reggiani which he knows from his parents. It's very touching as it talks about a dad trying to keep his son away from all the bad things in life so that his son keeps seeing life through innocent eyes.

4th one is "Fernando de Noreinha" from Vincent Delerm. He discovered this Artist when he was in high school. It depicts the letter of a father to his son where they'll talk about their feelings for the 1st time. Axel likes the soft melody which serves the beautiful lyrics.

3rd is "Billie" by Matthieu Chedid & his daughter Billie. It's a father-daughter duet which he loves. Axel loves M and saw him live in concert, where he also sang this particular song. A moving song about a father letting his daughter "fly away" when she's ready to leave.

2nd is "Ton Héritage" from famous singer Benjamin Biolay. It's the letter of a father to his daughter, encouraging her to live life to the fullest, with emotions and to turn that into a strength.. Axel is very moved by that song and cries everytime he listens to it.

Finally, his fav song about parental relationships is "Dans les yeux de ma mère" from Arno. He loves this Artist for his "harsh" way of saying things but which makes his songs actually more sensitive..

He jokes that he's the only singer that can say "suppository" in his songs yet making it very moving !

And with that he ended this top 5 and his interview by introducing this song on the radio !
