Looks like something unusual is going on in Bexar County again regarding #COVID19 reporting. A couple of days ago, they reported 3,484 "probable" cases that weren& #39;t confirmed by testing to @TexasDSHS. DSHS took note and updated its data. @GovAbbott @TPPF 1/3
You can see the DSHS notation on their dashboard here in the notes at the bottom: https://txdshs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/ed483ecd702b4298ab01e8b9cafc8b83.">https://txdshs.maps.arcgis.com/apps/opsd... Challenge is, the media is still using the inflated number. This can be seen on the otherwise useful @nytimes site here: #states">https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/us/coronavirus-us-cases.html #states">https://www.nytimes.com/interacti... 2/3
Today, it appears that Bexar County is reporting another 5,663 cases, per the @nytimes, which shows the county as a "hotspot." These may be past and "suspected" cases that don& #39;t meet the state definition of a confirmed COVID case. We& #39;ll see. 3/3
