Have waited to way in on this @washingtonpost story until I could collect my thoughts a bit. I& #39;ll start with a thank you to the brave women who spoke to the Post. Your courage shouldn& #39;t go unnoticed. Second, I& #39;ll thank the rock star women who helped and continue to help me.
Among them: @RobynNorwood @Lisa_Olson1 @sryantribune @AshleyFoxESPN @lesliegudel @MzCSmith. And I& #39;ll also thank the rock star men, who never care about my gender, only if I can do my job: @PatMcLoone @KellenbergerCBB @EditorEdge @npiet_ESPN.
But I will also say that I am routinely disappointed that, after 30 years in this business, I am still having this conversation, that women in sports are still made to feel like sideshows or outcasts. It& #39;s not about having daughters or sisters or aunts.
It& #39;s about being professional. It& #39;s about being respectful. It& #39;s about being a decent human being. That& #39;s it. And if you don& #39;t like women in your sports world, all I can say is sorry. We aren& #39;t going anywhere.
Actually let me edit that. I& #39;m not sorry. Deal with it.
