The new Home Kit is out, but why the mosaic?

Giving you answers in this thread ⬇️⬇️⬇️
No, it’s not a tribute to a pool!
Manchester is a city of diversity, filled with art, industry, football, music and fashion influences.
This diversity is embodied within the mosaics of the Northern Quarter.
They are part of the history of the City, while proudly representing it.
But why on the @manCity kit?

The original City mosaic could be found on the gates of the Maine Road Stadium.
This tradition goes on as many club legends are being honoured with a mosaic at the City Football Academy.
The artist behind the mosaics is Mark Kennedy.
He is a life-long City fan and even created the mosaics of the @ManCity legends.
His art has been a fundamental inspiration for the new Home Kit.
By the way, the kit will be worn with white shorts and light blue socks.
Simple and classy.
