this is a half baked 5am tweet but. i thought about using an arospec label for myself but I think reifying "romantic attraction" can prevent discussion of why there are certain relationship behaviors to perform for society to see a relationship as legitimate and ~serious~

and if those behaviors can effectively be separated from hetero-/amatonormativity (hint: I don't think they can)

and just to be clear i used "can" very intentionally in that first tweet. everyone will have a different experience with attraction. but resisting hegemonic notions of how we are supposed to love and care for another is very central to my sexual identity
