apps that help with my mental health; a thread
— Perspective

this is probably the app i’ve been using the longest. i’ve had perspective since 2017 and i use it for journaling. it works offline and lets you quickly set a mood for the day, track habits, and journal. you can only journal back 24 hours and everything past
that is logged as a “reflection” and it’s in a different color. the concept behind this app is to vent and let everything out, but also to go back and “reflect” on your feelings or the events that were going on.
sometimes it stands in place as my twitter vent space when i don’t have access to the internet or i don’t want my thoughts to be public.
— Twitter

for obvious reasons, i had to add twitter here. having this ed/mh account has been so helpful just because i have the space to scream and cry and express myself and i have a community of people who will encourage me to get up and keep trying.
alternatively i have a completely private vent acc that i don’t share with anyone, where i quite literally just scream and leave depressing voice notes. it’s sad, but it’s a good place for me to just let the feelings out and it’s saved so i can come reflect on it later.
— Capsicum

i love this app. it’s so helpful because it lets me plan out my day. it works as a calendar and to-do list all in one, but also is great for tracking your goals. you can also track habits and keep notes on those habits.
for me, it’s really just helped me start to get my life together and be more organized so i can stop worrying about forgetting things.
— Bearable

this one deserves some awards. i can’t stress enough. this is the best app i’ve ever used. it’s a mood tracker, symptom tracker, food log, habit tracker, and so much more. it helps you draw correlations between events or habits and your mood, so you can
start to see how your daily life impacts your mood. (these are my own logs)
i really can’t praise this app enough.

this is the single app that has made the most difference for me. i love this one so so much.
— Instagram

lately i’ve been using an instagram to post photos of my intake (which is usually gross,) myself, outside, ss of things important to me, etc. i’m not sure if i’ll keep it or not but i like it so far.
